the Student Information System, course registration, academic procedures, and campus life.
When and how is university registration completed?
Registration dates will be determined in accordance with the calendar announced by ÖSYM and the registration announcement published by the Iskenderun Technical University Department of Student Affairs. Applicants are required to follow the official websites of the University and the Faculty for registration dates.
What happens if registration is not completed within the initial registration period?
Students who do not complete their registration within the initial registration period will be deemed to have waived their right to register.
Can someone else complete the registration process on my behalf?
If an applicant is unable to complete the registration process in person, registration may be completed by a person authorized through a notarized power of attorney.
What are the special conditions for registration?
To register for the programs specified above within the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, students must meet the requirements stated under Condition No. 10 in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide. They must also submit a criminal record certificate and a medical board report confirming that they meet these requirements during final registration.
- Applicants must not have any criminal record or archived criminal record that would prevent them from obtaining an airport entrance card.
- Applicants must obtain a medical board report from a fully equipped hospital within the last six months confirming that they have no health condition that would prevent them from performing the profession and/or the duties required by the profession. This includes conditions such as hearing loss or impairment and vision loss or impairment.
These conditions apply to the Departments of Aviation Electrical and Electronics, Aviation Management, Aviation Management Evening Education, and Aircraft Maintenance and Repair.

When and where can I receive my student identification card?
Student identification cards are prepared after final registration procedures have been completed. The date and place of delivery will be announced separately by the University or the Faculty. Students are required to follow Faculty announcements regularly.
The student identification card is used for campus entrance, dining hall services, and library services.
Are first-year students required to register for courses?
Yes. First-year students must also register for their courses through the Student Information System within the dates specified in the academic calendar and submit their course selections for academic advisor approval.
How can I learn who my academic advisor is?
After advisor assignments have been completed, you can view your academic advisor information through the Student Information System (OBS). If your advisor information does not appear in the system, you may contact the Department Secretariat or the Faculty Student Affairs Unit.
How can I check whether my course registration has been approved by my academic advisor?
You can check the approval status of your course registration on the “Course Registration” screen in the Student Information System (OBS). Your course registration is completed once the courses you selected have been approved by your academic advisor. If the approval is not displayed, you may contact your academic advisor.
Where can I access the course schedule?
You can access course schedules through the Student Information System (OBS) or through announcements published on the official website of the relevant department.
Where can I access the academic calendar?
You can access the academic calendar through the “Academic Calendar” section on the website of the Iskenderun Technical University Department of Student Affairs. Course registration dates, the beginning and end of the academic term, and examination periods are specified in the academic calendar.
Is attendance compulsory?
Yes. Students are required to attend at least 70% of theoretical courses and at least 80% of practical courses. Attendance is monitored by the instructor responsible for the course.
What is the language of instruction?
The language of instruction in the undergraduate programs offered by our Faculty is Turkish. However, English and vocational foreign-language courses may also be included in the curricula of the programs.
Is foreign-language preparatory education compulsory?
No. There is no compulsory foreign-language preparatory education in the undergraduate programs offered by our Faculty.
How can I access course contents and the Bologna Information Package?
You can access course contents, curricula, and detailed course information through the “Course Catalogue” section on your department’s website or through the Bologna Information Package in the İSTE Student Information System.
How can I register for courses?
Course registration is completed online through the Student Information System at https://obs.iste.edu.tr/oibs/std/login.aspx within the dates specified in the academic calendar.
Course registration is completed after the selected courses have been submitted for advisor approval and approved by the academic advisor. Students must pay close attention to the dates specified in the academic calendar. Course registrations submitted outside the designated registration period will not be accepted.
How can I reach the Faculty?
The Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics is located on the Central Campus of Iskenderun Technical University. The campus can be reached by public transportation or private vehicle. As public transport routes and departure times may change, students are advised to check current information through the announcements of the relevant transportation providers.
Are there student clubs and social activities at the Faculty?
Yes. Our University has various student societies through which students can participate in scientific, professional, cultural, artistic, social, and sporting activities. Students may join existing societies or apply to establish a new student society by meeting the relevant requirements.
Announcements about student societies and activities can be followed through the İSTE Student Societies pages and the Department of Health, Culture and Sports website.
How can I benefit from library and internet services?
Students can borrow books from the library using their university identification cards and benefit from the library’s printed and electronic resources. The library catalogue and electronic databases can be accessed through the website of the Department of Library and Documentation.
For off-campus access to electronic resources, students may use their institutional e-mail account, YETKİM, or the VPN service after completing the required application. Wireless internet access on campus is available through the Eduroam network.
